Okay so i have a problem with this show, I like it and i will gladly watch the second season even though I’m not entirely sure what the plot is.
This whole thing is based on the idea the people in the silo are being lied to, but there is no lie. The world truly is fucked the way its seen in the cafeteria screens. So I’m asking myself why its necessary to kill the people that want to go out if they are already going to this fatal waist land? Why create an AR devise (which looks its the most advance piece of tech they have) that displays luscious green eden only to kill the person right after. If that video gets leaked (which it was) will just create more restlessness and mistrust in the silo? I refuse to believe that all of this was done just to clean the lens. I will keep watching hoping that I’m just missing something everyone else was able to get.
Indeed, it seems like a lot of extreme measures are being taken to keep people in the dark. Like, why make relics illegal, why restrict knowledge of technology? In our podcast we surmise it’s about control. But I imagine more will be revealed in season 2.
